Jack L. Harrsch, 79, of Peru, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the UVHN:CVPH Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 20, 1945, the son of Walter Allen Harrsch and Gladys Edwards. He married the love of his life, the former Dawn Renadette, on August 14, 1999; They renewed their vows at St. Alexander's Church on May 7, 2018. Jack was passionate about manicuring his lawn and creating a beautiful and serene environment at home. He enjoyed shopping, going for walks, and playing golf. Jack was a proud veteran who loved serving his country. His love for animals was evident always, but he especially adored his dogs and granddogs. Above all else, Jack loved and treasured his wife, Dawn, and all the crazies that came with her. Jack is survived by his wife, Dawn Harrsch; his step children, Angela Provost, Buddy "Lloyd" Provost and his wife Sherri, Erin Laundrie and her husband George; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; siblings, Carol Baker, Robert Harrsch, Dennis Harrsch and his wife Kathy, Raymond Harrsch and Douglas Harrsch. Jack is predeceased by his parents and siblings, Walter Harrsch and Gladys Principe. Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Reception to follow at the American Legion Post 1619. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to The North Country Honor Flight or Elmore SPCA. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
