Jacques D Mackenzie

Plattsburgh Jacques D. MacKenzie, 67, of Lake Shore Road, Point au Roche, passed away on Sunday August 30, 2015 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on September 19, 1947 the son of Arthur and Gertrude (Charland) MacKenzie. Jacques graduated from Beekmantown Central School in 1965 and soon after took over the family farm from his parents. He met Marie Novellano while she attended SUNY Plattsburgh, they were married on December 20, 1970 at Our Lady of Mercy on Long Island. Together they owned and operated Clearfield Farm on Point au Roche for over thirty years before retiring in 2002. Jacques was a member of the Beekmantown Volunteer Fire Dept. for 45 years and was an avid golfer and member at North Country Golf Club. He is survived by his wife Marie, their three children: Michael MacKenzie of Point au Roche, Scott MacKenzie and his wife Erika of Geneva, NY, and Cheryl MacKenzie and her husband Erik Muller of Point au Roche; three grandchildren: Elliot, Rilynn and Emma; a sister, Claudette Raymond and her companion Raymond Dickson of Point au Roche two nieces, Sharon Raymond and her son Braxton of Point au Roche and Diane Ellis and her husband Dean of Cohoes, NY; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Thomas Novellano and his wife Joan, Paul Novellano and his companion Jackie Thiselle, Peter Novellano and his wife Theresa, Robert Novellano and his wife Elizabeth, Jeanne Reese and her companion Richard Kurz, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Thursday September 3, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 4, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Donations in Jacques' memory may be made to St. Alexander's Church or Holy Angels Church.
