Bell, 70, of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully Tuesday Jan. 13, at The University of Vermont Health Network : CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born on April 28, 1944, the son of the late Marion (Lewis) Palmer and Eddy Bell. Jim was a volunteer firefighter with the Beekmantown Fire Department for 12 years. He is predeceased by his brother Richard and sister-in-law Patricia Parent. Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years Jean (Powers) Bell, his daughter Christina McClatchie and her husband Michael; his granddaughter Stefani Tanzosh and her husband Neil; his grandson Christopher Roberts; his great-granddaughter Ava Tanzosh; his sister Vickie Myrick and her husband Frank; his mother-in-law Florence Powers; his sister-in-law Sheila Aguglia and her husband Richard; his sister-in-law Lois Bell; his two godchildren Scott and Sherry Aguglia; as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday January 21, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family.
