Plattsburgh James K. Karr, 60 of Cumberland Head Road, Plattsburgh, passed away on November 28, 2008 at his home. He was born in Hamburg, New York on September 14, 1948, the son of Norman and Elsie Karr. James graduated from Hamburg High School in 1966 and joined the United States Marine Corps. After serving in the Marines he met his wife Cindy Bestry Karr. Later he served in the United States Coast Guard until his wife became ill and he returned to take care of her and their children. James was employed at Salaerno's Plastics for many years. He was a hard worker, a dedicated father, loving husband, good friend and will be missed by all who knew him. Jim was predeceased by his parents and wife. He is survived by five children, Tracy Antelek, Christopher Karr, Roger Karr, Ruthanne Rabideau and Roberta Karr. Nine Grandchildren, two brothers Kenneth and Norman Karr, one sister Kay Butler and several nieces and nephews. At James's request their will be no public calling hours a private graveside service will be held at the families convenience.
