James "Jim" F. Lockley, 70, of Altona, NY, passed away at Meadowbrook Healthcare on June 7, 2015, after a battle with cancer. He was born on April 28, 1945, the youngest child of Kenneth and Marion (Clough) Lockley of Williamson, NY. He married Barbara Edith Botten on May 20, 1978. Jim is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters Heather (Steven) Smith of Newtonville, NY and Raellen Kesselman of Allamuchy, NJ; grandsons, Caleb, Samuel, and Jonathan Smith and Adam Kesselman; his sister, Beatrice (Kenneth) Follette; his brother Alden (Simone) Lockley; and several nieces and nephews. His parents and three brothers, Robert, Carlton, and Edward Lockley all predeceased him. Jim was a graduate of Williamson High School and Potsdam College. Over the years, he taught English at Heuvelton Central School, worked as an agent at Cornell Cooperative Extension in Clinton County, performed quality control at Bow Industries, and worked with the Clinton County ARC. He enjoyed working with his hands, whittling and gardening; he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and raising animals; he was an avid reader. At his request, there will be no services.
