James M "Jim" Stiles

Plattsburgh James M. "Jim" Stiles, 51, of Alana Way, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Thursday July, 30, 2009 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY. He was born on May 1, 1958 the son of Willard and Marilyn (Hebert) Stiles. Jim graduated from Mount Assumption Institute in 1977. He worked for the NYS Department of Corrections, and later went on to attend college at SUNY Plattsburgh receiving a degree Business Management and Marking Research. After graduation he began working A. N. Deringer in St. Albans, VT for over 12 years, until changing careers and working at Chartwells at SUNY Plattsburgh. Jim enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR, baseball and cheering for the Boston Redsox. He was predeceased by an infant brother Willard Arthur Stiles, his maternal grandmother Mattie Hebert, his paternal grandparents, Ethel and Willard Stiles, Sr. Jim is survived by his wife and the love of his life for 30 years, Ann (Rasco) Stiles of Plattsburgh, NY, his parents Willard and Marilyn (Hebert) Stiles of Plattsburgh. A brother Gary Stiles of Plattsburgh, NY and a mother-in-law Rosemary Rasco and her companion Ray Provost of Cadyville, NY, several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews also survive him and special niece Stephanie and his two god children Ethan and Maxwell. Calling Hours will be held on Monday August 3, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, NY. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
