Plattsburgh - Cadyville - Altona (518) 561-3980 FAX (518) 563-4843 Jane Margaret Patnode, 10-11-1929 to 3-24-2017 passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center (formerly Evergreen Nursing Home). Jane is survived by eight children, Linda and her husband Marlon McDonald of Mooers Forks, NY, Daniel and his wife Nel Patnode of Plattsburgh, NY, Sandy and her husband Wally of Ellenburg Depot NY, Debbie and her husband Allen Provost of Beekmantown, NY, James Patnode of Plattsburgh, NY, Ellen Rabideau of Plattsburgh, NY, Randy Patnode and his partner Cindy Kimball of West Chazy, Laura Wilson of Altona, NY and a daughter-in-law Amy Patnode of Minnesota; twenty-six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, two half-sisters; Helen and Ed Pepper of Plattsburgh, NY Loretta Foster of Morrisonville, NY and half-brother Fred and Doris Kelly of Plattsburgh, NY; two brothers-in-law, Bob Patnode and Ralph Patnode of Plattsburgh, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Lawrence Patnode, a daughter Judith Barber and four grandsons, Shawn Patnode, Larry Rabideau, Joseph Patnode and Steven Provost. Two sons-in-law, Roger Bodah and Grant Wilson, five brothers-in-law; Glen Foster, Leonard Patnode, Clarence Patnode, Harold LeClair, Gilbert Boulrice, five sisters-in-law Marion, Beth Ann Patnode, Lou Patnode. Jane's interests include reading, cooking, gardening, spending time with family, singing, sewing and shopping. She absolutely loved babies and was so to be the matriarch of five generations. As well as being a loving mother and grandmother she also worked as a nurse's aide for many years. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for all the wonderful care they provided Jane during her residence there, as well as for being so accommodating to us during such a difficult time. Donations in memory of Jane are being accepted by the family and will go to the Alzheimer's Assistant Center or Plattsburgh State University.
