Jane Ray Sutherland

Jane Ray Sutherland passed away December 25 at Meadowbrook in Plattsburgh. She was born to Frank and Rachel (Broad) Ray in Oneida, NY on October 30, 1920. She is survived by sons Robert (Holly) Sutherland of Bastrop TX and William (Cindy) Sutherland of Plattsburgh NY. Grandchildren Jason (Marissa) Sutherland, Rachel (Lorell) Hathcock, Rebecca Sutherland (Rob Rosenthal) and Sara Sutherland (Scott Stoddard) also survive along with 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and two nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Robert Sutherland, and an adopted son John Sutherland.
Jane and Bob most recently lived in Westfield NY and enjoyed spending winters in Mission TX and Belize. She taught in the Gowanda and Ovid school districts.
A memorial service for a future date is being planned in western NY.
