Janis M. Lee August, 30 1951 – October 15, 2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janis M. Lee of Peru Street, Plattsburgh, NY, on October 15, 2024. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Janis passed peacefully surrounded by her family. Janis was born on August 30, 1951, at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY, to the late Oril and Betty Rondeau. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy, enlisting on October 30, 1970, and received an honorable discharge on January 14, 1971. Her time in the Navy reflected her deep sense of commitment to helping others. After her military service, Janis spent many years dedicated to Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, retiring as a Sterile Processing Technician. Her caring and detail-oriented nature shone through in her work, and she formed lasting bonds with her work friends. Janis is survived by her son, Brian Lee, and his fiancée, Jonnie Brewster as well as her daughter, Amy Davies, and son-in-law, Ryan Davies. She was a devoted grandmother to Brendan, Blake, and Domenic Lee and Rogen and Clark Davies, who will forever cherish the special memories shared with her. She is also survived by her brother Randy Rondeau, her nieces and nephews, and several cousins which she loved very dearly. Janis was predeceased by her parents and her brothers William, Daniel, and Wayne Rondeau. Her warmth and compassion touched the lives of everyone she met. Janis had a deep love for her family and was a constant source of strength and comfort to those around her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her selflessness, and the love she gave so freely. Janis’s life was a testament to the importance of family, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A grave-side burial service for Janis’s cremated remains will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery on Monday October 28, 2024 at 1:30PM. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the burial service at the VFW Post 309, located at 710 Route 22B, Peru, NY from 3-5PM.
