Jean Stone Tolosky, 87, of Lake Forest, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at CVPH Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Plattsburgh on August 7, 1932 daughter of Harold and Molly (Delaney) Stone.
Jean graduated from St. John’s Academy Class of 1950.
She married David “Bill” Tolosky on October 20, 1952.
She was secretary at the Presbyterian Church for twenty three years.
She loved her home, gardening, reading and knitting. Jean was an avid member of the “Knit & Twits.” She was a member of the Friends of the Library, volunteered at the Plattsburgh Food Shelf and she was a lifelong parishioner of St. John’s Church where she was a member of the Being There Committee.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Bill and son Steven.
Jean was the loving mother, mother-in-law and Mimi of Tania and Hal Moore of Camden, N.Y., Kristine and Paul Priem of Albany, N.Y.; granddaughter Tonya Ann Hodge, great granddaughters Elizabeth and Savannah Hodge; siblings; Jane Defayette, Helen Echevarria, Jerry Stone, a sister-in-law Emma Tolosky, one niece and several nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 17, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in the spring.
