Jean A Williams

Jean A. (LaComb) Williams, 78, formerly of Flat Rock Road, Morrisonville, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the Alice Center in Malone, NY. She was born in Massena, NY, on September 2, 1938, the daughter of Howard and Thelma (Ashley) LaComb. She married Richard L. Williams on October 4, 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Massena, NY. Jean graduated from Massena High School in 1955 and worked for Walsh Trucking Service in Massena for 4 years. She later worked at Plattsburgh State University College for 32 ½ years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Alexander's in Morrisonville and volunteered at the St. Alexander's School for 5 years. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Richard, and her sister Frances Gillespie. She is survived by her children; Arnold Williams and his wife Susan, Randy Williams and his wife Monica, Sharon Rocque and her husband James, her grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan and Daniel Williams, Tanner and Corinne Williams, and Michael and Marc Rocque, and her great-grandchildren; Ellie Williams, Anna Williams, Brennan Williams, Kinsley Williams, Sylas Williams, her siblings; Catherine Lawrence, Wayne LaComb, Jane Dufresne and her husband Donald, Nancy LaVack and her husband Gregory, and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow 11:00 am at St. Alexander's Church. Burial will be later in the spring in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Center for Neurobehavioral Health Alzheimer's Disease Caregiver Support Initiative or for masses at St. Alexander's Church.
