Jeanne Marlene Leagon, age, 85, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Plattsburgh, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. She was born on November 2, 1938 to Raymond LaBombard, Sr. and Gladys Kennedy. She graduated from PHS. Jeanne was the owner of the Eagles Nest Bar in Beekmantown, NY and the Galley Cafe restaurant at the old Clinton County Airport years ago. While she was living in Cleveland, Ohio, she was a volunteer for Companion Pets of Cleveland with which she was very involved. She married Arthur Brin. She also married Frank Leagon. She is survived by her children Mark Brin and his husband, Julio Millan of Cleveland, OH; Bobbie Jo West of Evans, GA; and Melodie Paynter of Plattsburgh; step children Steven (Clara) Leagon and Beth (James) Carlin; her siblings Gary (Linda) LaBombard; Rose (Ronny) Melver ; Colleen Tolbert; Holly (Randy) Curtin; Lila Germain; sister in law Donna LaBombard ; grandchildren Brett (Hillari) Kiroy, Brandon (Daphne) Kiroy, Nicolas Kiroy and Peyton West, Christopher (Kerri) Paynter, Zachary Paynter and husband Philip Hughes; great grandchildren Emma, Jayden, Maverick and Oliver Kiroy and Kennedy and Landon Paynter; her dog Frankie, and her cat Sheba. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Leagon,, ex-husband Arthur Brin; son in law Christopher West; siblings Mona Mayo and husband Jim Mayo and Raymond LaBombard, Jr. She was cremated in Ohio. A memorial service will be held at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh on June 13, 2024 between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11;00 am.
