Jeannette E Barnaby

Jeannette E. Barnaby, 93, of Beekman Street, Plattsburgh and formerly of Station Street, Altona, NY, passed away on Friday June 5, 2015, at UVHM:CVPH in Plattsburgh. She was born in Alberta, Canada on July 12, 1921 the daughter of Albert and Oliva (Giroux) Boiselle. Jeannette attended school in Holyoke, MA and married Wesley Barnaby on March 8, 1943 in Holyoke. During World War II she worked making bullets for the war effort. She worked as a Seamstress for various places in Plattsburgh including Merkel's Dept. Store, CVPH Medical Center and later in Housekeeping at SUNY Plattsburgh. Jeannette was a member of Holy Angels Church in Altona, Altona Red Hat Society, Rockside Seniors and enjoyed reading, traveling and visiting with family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband in 1974. Jeannette is survived by her children; Emilie Barnaby of Plattsburgh, Donald Barnaby and his wife Linda of Ellenburg Depot, her grandchildren; Lora Peryer and her husband Mark, Wendy Coons and her husband Howard, Alan Barnaby and his wife Geneva, Samantha Barnaby, Lisa Porter and her husband Fred, nine great grandchildren; Robert, Joshua, David, Morgan, Chad, Hailie, Taylor, Brynne and Lauren, a brother Oliver Boiselle of MA. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 9, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Holy Angels Church in Altona.
