Jeffrey S Spear

Jeffrey S. Spear, 54, of Cadyville, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY, on August 2, 1965, the son of the William and Janice “Pearl” (Weightman) Spear.
Jeff worked for over 30 years as a Corrections Officer. He was a true outdoorsman, and liked to be outside, hunting and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion #1619 and a member of the American Legion Riders. He was a very skilled cook, making meals for his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, his fiancé, Shelly Benware, his children, his siblings; Ronald Spear and his wife Carolyn, Michael Spear, Denise Davies and her husband Joseph, Dwight Spear and his wife Shelby, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 3:00-6:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with honors to be presented by NYSDOCS.
