Joan L Girard

Joan L. Girard, 85, of West Chazy, NY, passed away on Thursday May 23, 2019 at the McClure Respite House, Colchester, VT. She was born in Sciota on April 29, 1934 the daughter of Jay and Elsie (Mayo) LaForest.
She is survived by her children; Jeffery Girard and Penny Girard of Beekmantown. Her companion of forty-two years Owen Wood of Beekmantown; they ran Singers on Margaret St., in Plattsburgh for forty years. Her grandchildren Vicki and Steven Tabor of Yelm, WA, Carrie Girard and Jeff Barr of Jeffersonville VT, James Girard of Beekmantown, great-grandchildren; Andrew Labarge and Jaylyn Brunell of West Chazy, Abigail and Eian Lindernan of Hagerstown MD, brothers Jay Jr and Ethel LaForest of West Chazy, Larry and Jill LaForest of Dayton OH, sisters; Betty Minor of West Chazy, Peggy and George Rivers of Rouses Point, sisters-in-law Marion Laforest of Plattsburgh, Betty LaForest of Plattsburgh, Pat Girard of West Chazy, Dave and Cheryl Wood of Morrisonville.
She is predeceased by her parents, her siblings; Roland and Gordon LaForest, Gloria Wike, Barbara LaForest, and Sandra Morrow.
There will be no public calling hours or services.
