John Ashline

John J. Ashline, 65, of Barnum Brook Road, Saranac, NY, passed away on Friday August 16, 2013 at home peacefully. He was born in Plattsburgh on July 9, 1948 the son of Napoleon and Alma (Gumlaw) Ashline. John was a loving and kind man and would do anything to help anyone. He will be missed by so many. John loved to fish, hunt and spend time at camp with his family. He retired from Pactiv after 36 years of service. John was predeceased by his parents and a sister Cindy King. He is survived by the love of his life Linda (Duprey) Ashline, two sons Mike Chagnon and his wife Heather of Saranac and Eugene Carron of Saranac, a daughter Sandie Rock and her husband Jeff of Saranac, five grandchildren; Jason, Christopher, Steven, Maxine and Rachel, two great grandchildren; Hailey and Noah, several siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him. At John's request there will be no public calling hours, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
