John W Benware

John W. Benware, 74, of State Route 22 in West Chazy, New York, passed away on Wednesday May 29, 2019 at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh on May 10, 1945, the son of William and Yolanda (Alphonso) Benware.
John worked as an Industrial Training Supervisor at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, retiring in 2003. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in West Chazy.
John married Sharon Jennette on November 17, 1973.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Joseph Benware.
John is survived by his wife 45 years Sharon Benware, three daughters; Gina McCain and her husband Billy of Alabama, Amy Jock and her husband Rick of Morrisonville and Nicole Benware of Alabama, two grandchildren; Joshua and Danielle Schwartz, his siblings; Thomas (Jane) Benware, Tonya (Frank) Tacy and Santa (Jeff) Martin, several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 4, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, a funeral service will follow in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 pm.
