John W Daunais

It is with our deepest sympathies we regret to inform everyone that on Sunday January 8th 2023 John Daunais 76 of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully in his home. John is predeceased by his parents Ralph and Jean Daunais as well as his sister MaryLynne Duprey. He is survived by his sisters Pamela Pion, Patricia Coventry and brother Rodney Daunais as well as his nephews Keith Pion, Steve Pion and niece Tracey Phaneuf. John had many nieces and nephews that he adored. John was an Army Veteran as well as a retired, seasoned Plattsburgh City Police Officer. John had the most infectious laugh and loved to make light of every situation. Christmas jingles were always sung or hummed when he was around! He will truly be missed by all whom had the pleasure of knowing him!
Calling hours will be at Browns Funeral Home on Tuesday January 17th between the hours of 12pm-2pm with a Plattsburgh Police and Army Honor Guard following. There is a Celebration of life at the Peru VFW at 4pm. All are welcomed to come and Celebrate the Life of The Amazing John Daunais. P.s. Hershey Bar.
