Clayburg Mr. John H. Farrell, Sr., 77, of Lakeland, Florida and formerly of Clayburg, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with family by his side. He was born in Clayburg on July 4, 1937, the son of the late Michael and Alvina (Provost) Farrell. John served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and later was employed as a civilian engineer at Plattsburgh Air Force Base for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion and the Lions Club of Lakeland, Fl. He is survived by his children; Cyndi Farrell-Davis and her husband Jon of Naugatuck, Ct., John Farrell Jr. of Waterbury, Ct., Teena Farrell of Roanoke, Va., Todd Farrell of Clayburg, Ricky Farrell and his companion Bobbie Jo Staley of Morrisonville, his siblings, Mitchell Farrell and his wife, Gloria, Marion Collins, Helen Burleigh, Albert Farrell and his wife Judy, James Farrell, and Doris Gardner and her husband, Eldoris; many grandchildren , several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Nora M. Waldron, a grandson JOhn Mihalcik Jr. and a great grandson John Mihalcik III.. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September ,16, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 3 Park Row in Cadyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Church of the Assumption in Redford.
