John W Light Sr

John W. Light, Sr., 74, of West Chazy, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Thursday, November 19, 2020. He was born in Hudson Falls, NY on April 16, 1946, the son of Anthony and Ida (Upton) Light.
John worked hard his entire life and retired from CVPH and the Saranac School System. He was a true-outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid collector and frequented sales throughout the region. He will be missed for his caring nature, especially for the children.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cheryl, his son John Jr. (Tammy Parsons), his son Sam, sisters, Joanne Dubuke, Linda Goucher, Donna Conlon (Bob), many nieces and nephews, his special neighbor Robert Daniels (Linda), his close friends, Ken Desotell (Annie), Debbie Morrow (Charlie), Reggie Norcross (Kim) and Sue Nelson.
John has fond memories of his deceased friends, Bob, Shirley and Don.
Calling hours will be Monday, November 30, 2020 from 11:00-12:30pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00pm at St. Joseph’s Church in West Chazy. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
