John J Mckenna Iii

Plattsburgh Mr. John J. McKenna, III, 68 of Macomb St., Plattsburgh, NY passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his home. He was born in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ on January 3, 1945 the son of John J. and Eleanor (DeChimony) McKenna, Jr. John was a graduate of Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, NJ. He attended Harvard and graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Master Degree in Architect. He was employed at John McKenna and Associates. John enjoyed collecting antiques, playing piano, traveling and vacationing in Naples, FL. He was predeceased by his parents. John is survived by his partner Ronald Peltier of Plattsburgh, three brothers; James McKenna, Sr. and his wife Donna of Jackson, NJ, Joseph McKenna and his wife Jayne of Asbury, NJ, Jerry McKenna and his wife Sandra of Allentown, PA, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, November 29, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p. m. and on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Church. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Chazy, New York.
