John E Renadette Jr

John E. Renadette, Jr., 81, of Glenn Drive, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 22, 2016 (one day short of his 82nd birthday) at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on October 23, 1934 the son of John E. and Marjorie (Bishop) Renadette, Sr. John served in the U. S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He married Ursula Longtin on August 31, 1957 at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. They lived in Plattsburgh and he worked at Clinton Correctional Facility retiring in 1981 as a lieutenant. They moved to Arizona where he was employed as security at a nuclear power plant, retiring in 1994. They moved to Ocala, Florida in 1997 where he was a member of the Queen of Peace Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ursula Renadette of Plattsburgh He is also survived by two sons; Michael John Renadette, Sr. and his companion Kat Artz of Arizona and his son Michael John Renadette, Jr and his wife Chris; Richard Louis Renadette and his companion Mindy Ricker of Maine and his children Timothy, Rosanna and Rachel; two daughters, Debra Brown and her husband Thomas of Morrisonville and their children Ryan Brown and his wife Holly, Alexandra Townes and her husband Steven; Michelle Perkett and her husband Thomas of Beekmantown and her son Douglas Juntunen, a brother, Harvey Renadette and his wife Donna of Arizona; a sister-in-law Mary Anne Renadette and her husband Darrell of Florida; eight great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Sr. Mary Longtin of Garyson, NY; a brother-in-law James Longtin and his wife Wanda of Morrisonville. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers Roger and Ronald Renadette and a sister-in-law Caroline Renadette. At John's request there will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at Blessed John XXIII Newman Center on Broad Street in Plattsburgh. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville. Interment will follow at St. Alexander's Cemetery.
