Plattsburgh Jonathan A. Hidook, 51, of Daytona Blvd, Plattsburgh, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 with his loving family by his side at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after a courageous battle with Myotonic Dystrophy. He was born in Plattsburgh on May 3, 1962 to Paul and Julia (Finn) Hidook. Jonathan graduated from Beekmantown Central School in 1980. He married his high school sweet heart Karen Jiguere at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Soon after he began working as Machine Operator for Georgia Pacific, retiring after twenty years because of his illness. Jonathan enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking and his three dogs; Charlie, Molly and Sierra. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother George Hidook. Jonathan is survived by his wife Karen of Plattsburgh, son and daughter-in-law - Eric and Dusti Hidook of Plattsburgh, NY; son - Nicholas Hidook of Plattsburgh, NY; grandson - Eric Hidook Jr. of Plattsburgh, NY; brother and sister-in-law - Kevin and Annette Hidook of Plattsburgh, NY; 2 sister & brother-in-laws - Paula and Gerard Renadette of Plattsburgh, NY, Susan and Dennis Brault of Altamonte Springs, FL; several nieces and nephews also survive. Calling hours will be held on Sunday August 4, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
