Baker, 85, of Pike St. Plattsburgh, NY passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the CVPH Medical Center with family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on August 9, 1926 the son of Leo and Ruth (Gebo) Baker. Joseph had worked as a sign painter for Dames Neon Sign for fifty six years. He enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with his family. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Leo and Ruth Baker, his brothers John and his wife Geraldine, Frank and his wife Rita, Alva, and a sister Gertrude Devins. He is survived by his brothers; Arthur Baker and his wife Jean of Plattsburgh, Robert Baker and his wife Rose of Peru, Alphadge Baker and his wife Charlene of Plattsburgh, his sisters; Joan Woodring and her husband Harold of Tacoma, WA, Augustine "Tracey" Giroux of Plattsburgh, Betty Reynolds of Charleston, WV, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, February 3, 2012 from 12:30 noon until 1:15 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery.
