Joseph F. Geer

Joseph F. Geer, 71, died Wednesday March 26, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Albany on May 9, 1953 son of Maurice F. and Theresa R. (Czerniski) Geer.

Joe attended St. Joseph's Academy in Albany. He joined the United States Air Force in 1971, serving at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington, Kelifik Air Force Base in Iceland, Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, Presidential Unit and Plattsburgh Air Force Base, retiring in 1991. Joe was a member and past president of North Country Vietnam Veteran's Association, member and past president of Plattsburgh Bowling Association, Life Member of American Legion Post# 20 in Plattsburgh. Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #125 in Plattsburgh, Life Member of Disabled American Veteran's Association, a member of Tri-County Vietnam Veteran's Group in Albany and a member of St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. He enjoyed bowling, darts and his motorcycle.

Joe is survived by his wife, the former Mary T. Stevens of Plattsburgh, two daughters and son-in-laws, Joe Anna Geer and Tracy Tupper of Dannemora, NY, Jamie and Jesse Blazina of Beekmantown, NY, a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph E. and Brianne Geer of Belmonte, NC, three brothers and two sister-in-laws, Maurice "Butchy" of Queensbury, Thomas and Barbara Geer of Rensselaer, Anthony and Michele Geer of Rensselaer, two sisters and brother-in-laws, Carol and Fred MacDonald of Rensselaer, Loretta and James Walker of Rotterdam, ten grandchildren, a greatgrandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 4-7 at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 10am at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh.

Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh in the Spring.
