Joseph E Gladd

Plattsburgh Mr. Joseph E. Gladd, 56 of Standish Street, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Monday May 25, 2009 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh He was born on October 10, 1952 the son of Donald and Eleanor (Chabot) Gladd. Joseph served in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1977. After leaving the Navy he worked at Georgia Pacific in Plattsburgh for 33 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, kayaking, cooking and basking in the sun. Joe was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his mother Eleanor Gladd of Rouses Point, NY, a daughter Tera Fountain and her husband Joe of West Chazy, NY. Two grandchildren Jesse and Emily Fountain, five siblings and the spouses; Donald and Shirley Gladd of Rouses Point, NY, Gene and Pat Gladd of Champlain, NY, Brenda Perrea and her husband Alan of Champlain, NY., Kenny and Michele Gladd of Plattsburgh, NY and Wayne Gladd. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive him. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday May 28, 2009 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh, NY.
