Joseph Miller Sr

Plattsburgh Joseph A. "Joe" Miller, Sr., 64, of Beekman Street, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Thursday December 22, 2011 at his home. He was born in Alliance, OH on September 20, 1947 the son of Allen and Ann (Trautman) Miller. Joe graduated from Alliance High School in 1965; soon after he went on to attend The Ohio State University. Joe then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country for twenty two years, retiring in 1991 at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. He later was employed at CVPH Medical Center as a Pharmacy Technician. Joe enjoyed football, the Miami Dolphins, fishing and his cats. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother John Miller and step son Mark Dragoon. Joe is survived by his wife Marie Miller of Plattsburgh, five children; Joseph Miller, Jr. of Peru, Bradley Miller of Plattsburgh, Kelly Cooper of Plattsburgh, Chrissy Miller of West Chazy and Justin Miller of Plattsburgh, three step children; Alesha Miller of Plattsburgh, Kristi Brodeur of Plattsburgh and Kimberly Brodeur of Plattsburgh, fourteen grandchildren and one soon to be born, a brother Raymond Miller of Virginia, a sister Marion Bowman of Virginia and two nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday December 28, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be later next year.
