Joseph C Parrish

Plattsburgh Joseph C. Parrish, 75, of Salmon River Road, Plattsburgh, N.Y. passed away on Sunday March 8, 2009 at Hebrew Hospital Home in Valhalla, N.Y. He was born on February 4, 1934 the son of Arthur and Mary (LaJoy) Parrish. Joseph served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. After being discharged he returned to Plattsburgh and became a member of the Laborers Local Union 186. Joseph was a loving father and husband and a "master builder". He was always willing to lend a hand in a project. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, two brothers; Kermit Parrish and Arnold Parrish, and a son Patrick Parrish. He is survived by five sons; Ronald Parrish of Germany, Doug Parrish and his wife Karen of Pleasantville, NY, Joseph Parrish and John Parrish both of Greenville, S.C. and Todd Parrish of Plattsburgh, NY; one daughter Patricia Wright and her husband, William, of Greenville, S.C.; two brothers; Frank Parrish and his wife Janet of Plattsburgh, NY and Steven Parrish of Schenectady, New York; a sister Marian Parrish of Long Island, N.Y. and a sister-in-law, Alice Parrish of Keeseville, N.Y. Several grandchildren also survive him. Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 5:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Whispering Maples Memorial Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
