Joseph S Stone Sr

Altona Mr. Joseph S. Stone, Sr., 76, of Brunell Road where he lived with his son Joseph Stone, Jr. and his fiancee Beckie Burdo and their two children Wyatt and Kryslyn, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by his side. He was born in Altona on May 10, 1940, the son of the late Frank and Mabel (Sorrell) Stone. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and baseball. Most of all enjoyed the winters. He belonged to the Holy Angel's Church. Predeceased by his parents, sisters; Gladys, Ruth, Mary and Bertha; one brother, Jule. He is survived by a daughter Lynn Stone, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Vernice Sorrell of Peru, NY, Shirley Lamere of Elizabethtown, NY, Minas Stone of Westville, NY, Martha (Bruce) Lacey of Willsboro, NY, Rena Perry of Fort Plain, NY and Dorothy Lamere of Fort Collins, CO. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 9:00 am at Holy Angels Cemetery in Altona.
