Josephine Marion Miller

Plattsburgh Mrs. Josephine Marion Miller, 93, formerly of Irish Settlement Road, Morrisonville, New York passed away Wednesday, June 06, 2012 at the Clinton County Nursing Home. She was born in Irvona, PA on October 21, 1918 the daughter of Charles B. and Emma Elizabeth (Howells) Thompson. Josephine had worked as Matron at Smethport County Jail where her husband was Sheriff. She enjoyed singing and dancing. Josephine was a member of the Bolivar Run Baptist Church in Bradford, PA. She was predeceased by her parents Charles B. and Emma E. Thompson, her husband Richard Miller and several brothers and sisters. Josephine is survived by a daughter Joanne Hockney and her husband James of Schuyler Falls, New York, a sister Delma Kay Johnston and her husband Walter of Clearfield, PA, a brother William Thompson and his wife Betty of Canton, Ohio, her grandchildren Heather Allen and her husband Bruce, Shawn Hockney, her great grandchildren Spencer and Hunter Allen and Brooke and Justin Hockney, several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Thompson Cemetery in Glen Richey, PA.
