Joyce M. Giles, 81, of Plattsburgh, passed away Monday July 6, 2020 at the Plattsburgh Rehabilitation Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Altona on April 29, 1939 the daughter of Ernest and Antoinette (Corrow) Weightman. Joyce enjoyed shopping, cooking, socializing and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Holy Angels Church.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents, her husband Donald, a son Dale, two sisters and brothers-in-law; Connie (Victor) Gero and Beverly (Burton “Bim”) Randall.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Debra Giles (Danny and Dominique) and her fiancé Ron Donahue, Diane (Scott) their son (Roman) Franckowiak, David Giles (Dalsten, Gavin and Derek), her siblings; Calvin (Venita) Weightman, Merton (Carol) Weightman, Tom (Betty) Weightman, Pearl (William) Spear, John (Mary Lou) Weightman, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 10, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to5:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
Funeral services will be private for the family.
Interment will be at Holy Angel’s Cemetery.
Friends wishing may make donations to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
Due to pandemic circumstances face masks and social distancing must be observed.
