Joyce M. Pelkey, 82, of Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh, on July 28, 1936, the daughter of Roy and Emily (Burdo) Pelkey.
She graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy and she later worked at Northern Insuring Agency for many years. She was an accomplished pianist and will be missed for her dry sense of humor that endeared her to her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Leila Prenoveau and brother-in-law Gaston Prenoveau, her brother Donald Pelkey Sr. and sister-in-law Marjorie Pelkey and many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her nieces, Una Mooney, Debbie Guay and her husband Tom, and Evelyn Pelkey, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be private for the family. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
