Judith A Forget

Judith (Judy) A. (Grube) Forget, 78 of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully Friday, August 12, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on August 16, 1943, daughter of John and Lillian (Desaw) Grube.

Judy graduated from Peru Central School in 1961 and further attended Plattsburgh State Teachers College. She retired as Administrative Services Officer after 34 years with Clinton County Mental Health in 2001. Judy’s greatest treasures were her family. She spent every day of her retirement with her beloved husband Richard doing everything together. Judy was always there for her two daughters’ whether it be offering advice or just there to listen. Nana, as she was called, had a great love for her granddaughters. Upon retirement she spent most days with them. She watched them grow up and was their biggest supporter in everything they did. Judy also enjoyed bowling, golf, monthly trips to the casino, attending shows and concerts, cruising, and vacationing in the winter months in Florida with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her visits to the mall to have coffee with friends.

Judy is survived by her Husband, Richard Forget of 54 years; Daughters, Kristina (Greg) LaDuke; Shelly Downing-Forget (Lisa); Granddaughters, Ashley Boisvert (Michael); Kelly Menard, and her newest love, Great Grandson Carter Boisvert; Sister Sharron (Harlan) Rock; Brother Roger (Carolyn) Grube; Sister-in-Law Barbara Grube; Cousin Sandra (Ron) Banker and several Nieces & Nephews.

Judy was predeceased by her Parents and brother Sidney Grube.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 14th from 11am-1pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local SPCA or charity of choice.
