Plattsburgh Julia E. Del Signore, 17, of Blair Road, died unexpectedly Friday, June 6, 2008 in Plattsburgh. She was born in St. Albans, Vermont on February 15, 1991, the beloved daughter of Michael and Kate Del Signore. Besides her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Maureen Johnston of Zephyrhills, Florida, her cherished aunts and uncles, Patricia and Larry Ritter of Ausable Forks, NY, Martin and Sharon Del Signore of Sackets Harbor, NY, Tom and Terry Del Signore of Lima, Ohio and Alicia and David Bach of Black River, NY. Also, her loving cousins, Elisabeth Ritter of South Burlington, VT, Levi Ritter of Plattsburgh, Matthew Del Signore of Pittsburgh, PA, Max Del Signore of Sackets Harbor, NY, Connie Del Signore Dahill of Lima, Ohio, Annie Del Signore of Lima Ohio, Elisabeth Bach of Black River, NY, Robert Bach of Black River, NY, Nathan Bach of Black River, NY as well as many special friends. Julia was pre-deceased by her grandparents, Guido and Rosemary Del Signore and her grandfather, Lyle Johnston. Julia was a beautiful and talented young woman who enjoyed music, art, writing, jewelry making and spending time with her many friends. She had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed canoeing with her Dad. Julia volunteered for several years at the Adirondack Animal Shelter and loved helping stray animals. Julia was a talented writer who kept many journals throughout her short life. Julia shared her Mom's passion for art and flowers. She loved traveling with her family on many trips to Cape Cod and Ogunquit, Maine where she rode the waves like the free spirit she was. She will be in our hearts forever. Calling hours will be Monday, June 9, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a reflection of her life to follow at 6:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh. In lieu of flowers, donations in Julia's memory may be made to Champlain Valley Family Center to support their drug treatment programs.
