Julie Rockwell, 68, of Plattsburgh , died Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center with her beloved son by her side who was the love of her life. She was born in Plattsburgh, Wednesday, January 18, 1956. Julie loved spending time with her son and grandson. They were the joy of her life and she loved them fiercely. When she spoke of them she always would light up with joy. She enjoyed making and selling jewelry until her hands no longer allowed it. She had such a passion and love for horses. She would always talk about the horse she owned as a child, it was her fondest memory. You could bet if you went to visit she would have Food Network on because of her love for cooking and trying new recipes. Her son and grandson loved when she sent food over for them that she made special just for them. She definitely left an impression on those she met. She was never one to as she would say "beat around the bush," and she was honest to a fault, she loved with all her heart. For those who had the honor to feel her love know how her love was unconditional with no strings attached. She had such a way with words, she will forever be in our hearts. She is survived by her son Burton G. Rockwell Jr. and his wife Roseanna V. Rockwell and her grandson Burton G. Rockwell III, and granddaughter Melena M. Blake. She is predeceased by her mother, Ethel Buskey, and her father, her husband Burton G. Rockwell Sr., her brothers; James Paul Duprey, Jerry Duprey, half-brother Floyd Joseph Baker, who was named after his father.
