Justin Michael Walsh

May 12, 1988 — May 7, 2024

Justin was a brave, strong, and kind man who loved his family with his whole heart. He was a loyal friend and confidant. Justin was always there when you needed him- for a chat, to offer advice, to laugh with, or just to listen. He cared deeply about the world around him-its people, animals, and the environment. He was dealt many challenges in his life, and he overcame them all with a steadfast determination and admirable strength of character. Justin died suddenly and unexpectedly of natural causes on May 7th, 2024, five days shy of his 36th birthday. It was a beautiful spring day and he was looking out at the water of Lake Champlain when he passed. He was born on May 12th,1988 to Sandra and Joseph Walsh. Justin was a sweet and gentle child who you couldn’t help but fall in love with. As a child he enjoyed playing with his sister outside in the gardens and woods surrounding his home. He loved watching TV, sports, and movies, going fishing with his father and uncles, caring for the family pets, and gathering often with his large extended family. But most of all he shared a special connection with his mother, Sandy. They were inseparable companions and loved each other fiercely. Justin grew up in West Chazy, New York. He graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies. He was the best man in the wedding of his sister to her husband, who he welcomed as a true brother. He worked as a program instructor at Frost Valley YMCA camp. He really spread his wings there; he was proud of his work with children, and made many friends. After several years living in the Catskills he returned home, where he was able to spend much quality time with his family. He taught himself how to cook and would make amazing meals for the people he loved. He worked incredibly hard to make a life for himself. Justin was excited to take on the role of “Uncle TinTin" to his two young nephews, and was always lovingly looking out for them. Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Doris and Edmund Walsh and Duke and Judy Harrison, his uncles, Michael Walsh and Tom Robinson, his aunt, Lynn Cheney, and cousin, Rusty Cheney. He is survived by his mother and father, Sandy and Joe Walsh, his sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Warren Cramer, his nephews, Henry and Arthur, his closest aunts, Kathy Walsh, Maureen Robinson, and Sue Bleeker, his special cousin Kellen and his family, and several other beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be greatly missed but the incredible love he shared with those of us who were lucky enough to have him in our corner will live on in our hearts forever. If you would like to honor Justin, in lieu of flowers, we ask that you please make a donation in his name to the Noonan Syndrome Foundation, Frost Valley YMCA, or the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for children with serious illnesses. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home. Online condolences may be offered at www.brownfuneralhomeny.com
