With heavy hearts we are here to announce the sudden passing of Justus Wilkinson on September 8th, 2024 in his home in Douglas, WY. Justus was only 24 years old and is survived by his mother in NY and family in Virginia. After high school he began career in the military as a Blackhawk technician where he was honorably discharged due to injury. He then proceeded to move to Wyoming to pursue an associates in Business. Justus was an incredibly creative person, with a unique ability to represent himself through his various crafts. He was an avid baker who loved cake decoration, working at both the bakery in Douglas and the local Rambach's. He enjoyed working with his hands with his stint in gunsmithing and had even begun to paint. Justus is survived by his mother, Meg Wilkinson, his father Fred Wilkinson IV, Granddad Alfred Wilkinson Jr., Uncles: Thomas Coffin, Timothy Wilkinson, Peter Wilkinson and John Wilkinson, Aunts: Teresa Beyer, Carolyn Spivey, Katherine Griffin, Sarah Nelson, Becky Wilson, Rachel McBee. Along with numerous cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his Grandparents: Thomas and Nina Coffin, Grandmother; Blondina Wilkinson, and his aunt Elaine Coffin. While proceedings may focus on the dead, this event should be a celebration of his life. He always wanted to have an upbeat ceremony where people could share memories and find comfort in community. While this may be easier said than done, we want to make sure his wishes are honored. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 25th 11am at NTC Church Plattsburgh, NY. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery and then the family invites everyone back to the church for a reception.
