Karen M. Ducharme, 61, of West Chazy, NY who passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the UVHN-CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on September 27, 1953 the daughter of Norman Giguere and Doris (Forette) Lambert. Karen attended Beekmantown Central School. She worked at the Orange Julip in Plattsburgh and at other various places in Plattsburgh. Karen then went on to work for the United States Post Office, retiring in 2003 as the Postmistress. Karen spent most of her time in her flower garden and spending her precious time with her granddaughters. She is predeceased by her father Norman, her son Paul Ducharme, a granddaughter Tia Ducharme. Karen is survived by her mother Doris Lambert, a sister Janice Giguere and her partner Penny Averill, two brothers, Stephen Giguere and his wife Virginia and Greg Giguere, four grandchildren, Kimberly Brown, Sasha Ducharme, Seirra Ducharme and Shayla Ducharme; two great-grandchildren Corey and Preston. At Karen's request there will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday July 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy, burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
