Kathleen F Beauvais

Kathleen F. “Kay” Beauvais, 83, of Lynde Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at her home with family by her side and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh on December 26, 1937, the daughter of the late John and Florence (Phair) Conroy.
Kay received her Masters degree in Education and was a teacher at Saranac Central School for many years. She was a lifelong communicant of St. John’s Church and was active in the Bereavement Ministry . She was a member of the NYS Retired Teachers Association and the NYSUT Union . She also served as Treasurer of the Clinton County Fair for many years and served on the Board of Directors and was Chaairperson of the Supervisory Committee for the SUNY Plattsburgh Federal Credit Union. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, golfing , and watching sports on TV especially golf and football.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses; Suzanne and Stanley Barton of Plattsburgh, Mary Curry of Mahopac, NY, a sister; Sr. Ann Conroy, CSC of Manchester, NH., her grandchildren; Kara Miller of Wallkill, NY., Paige Barton of Clifton Park, NY., Lucas Barton of Brighton,. MA., Caleb and Abiageal Barton of Plattsburgh, and several cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents and a sister Mary Ellen Conroy .
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Church. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the Interfaith Food Shelf, the St. John’s Endowment Fund or Hospice of the North Country..
