Kathleen J "Kitty" Thorne (Hammond)

Kathleen “Kitty” J. Thorne, 80, of Seneca Drive, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Saturday May 4, 2019 at UVHN: CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in New York City on April 29, 1939 the daughter of Thomas and Jane Hammond.
Kitty grew up in New York City, where she attended Westover School and would spend her summers in Saranac Lake. Her love for the Adirondacks brought her back to live permanently. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Plattsburgh and St. Luke’s Church in Saranac Lake, The VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Saranac Lake,
She was predeceased by her parents.
Kitty is survived by her son, Clarkson Thorne of Plattsburgh, four grandchildren; Kayla, Noel, Bryce and Bentley, her brothers; Tom, David, Nicholas Hammond, and nieces and nephew; Greg, Jenny and Shy Hammond.
Calling hours will be held on Friday May 10, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 11, 2019 at 10:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be at St. John’s in the Wilderness Cemetery in Paul Smith’s, NY at 2:00 pm on Saturday.
