Kenneth J Burdo

Kenneth J. Burdo, 81 of Plattsburgh, NY passed away September 8, 2019 with his loving family by his side at Clinton County Nursing Home. He was born on January 21, 1938 to Arthur and Lillian (LaFountain) Burdo.
He attended Mooers Central School. He was employed by the town of Mooers Highway Dept. for Twenty years. He was also employed for ten years at Plattsburgh Foundry. He was a very hard worker and became disabled while working at the Plattsburgh Foundry. Kenneth married the love of his life Barbara Mitchell on December 21, 1985. He was a wonderful husband and they enjoyed thirty-three years of Marriage. Kenneth was a quiet and very kind and gentle man with a heart of gold. He will be missed by many that knew him.
He was a very avid New York Yankee fan and also loved working with puzzles. His greatest joy was being with his family.
He is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Earl Burdo.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Burdo of Plattsburgh, NY; two sisters, Bernice Barcomb and her husband Donald of Mooers, NY, Annette LaGoy and Fred of Morrisonville, NY; nephews, Fred LaGoy, Jr., Robert LaGoy, Gary, Steven and Scott Barcomb; nieces, Lorena , Lorrie and Lynn; Father-in-law and mother-in-law; Roy and Laura Mitchell, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law; Patricia and Kevin Straight, Nancy and Jack Hamelin, Jeffrey and Peggy Mitchell, Joey Mitchell and Rebecca and Duane Hespell, several great niece and great nephews also survive him and a dear special friend Leona Woodbridge.
Calling hours will be held on Friday September 13, 2019 from 9:30 to 11:00 at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, a funeral service will follow at 11:00 in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Ken’s family wishes to thank the nurses who took care of him, especially Jeanie Sterling.
