Kenneth T Darrah

Kenneth T. "Kenny" Darrah, 74, of Schuyler Falls, NY, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on January 30, 1949, the son of Kenneth and Doris Darrah.

Kenny was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps, enlisting in 1966 as Corporal and engaged in Operation Buffalo in 1967 during the Vietnam War, receiving two Purple Hearts for his service. He was member of the American Legion #1619. He often enjoyed playing horseshoes and going camping. In his free time he often could be found taking rides on his motorcycle or being with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary, his children; Kenneth Jr. and his companion Lynn, Michelle Hensley and her husband Jim, and Stuart Darrah, and grandson Justin. He is also survived by his siblings; Ethel Joyce, Deborah Duell, Yolanda Bedard and her husband Gary, Roseva Arnold and her husband Garen, and Kimberly Moyer and her husband Donald, his brothers-in-law; Edward Sears and his wife Elenor, Stevie Sears and his companion Joan Collins, Tom Sears and his wife Tammy, his sisters-in-law; Jean Newsom and her husband Loy, Sandy Sears, Suzie Wood, Donna Macey and her husband John, and Jill Sears, Joan Collins and companion Ken Macey, his beloved canine-companion Amy, and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Roland Belgarde, Calvin Darrah, and Duane Darrah, his sisters Dolores Moses and Tanya LaFountain.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 9:30-11:30am at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Schuyler Falls Cemetery with Military Honors.
