Kenneth R Delisle

Kenneth R. Delisle, 89, of Cadyville, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the UVM Medical Center. He was born in Cadyville on January 1, 1933, the son of Richard and Edna (Latour) Delisle.

He married Doris Oshier on March 3, 1952. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1950-1953 where he was a Surgical Nurse. Following his honorable discharge, he became a Corrections Officer from 1954-1979 here he was a Surgical Tech. Ken was a school bus driver for Saranac Central School from 1956-1972, owned a construction business from 1972-1979, worked at Plattsburgh Quarries 1979-1993 as a Heavy Equipment Operator,pilot in the Civil Air Patrol First Lieutenant and operated equipment for Todd Deyo and Son. He enjoyed flying, riding his motorcycles with his wife Doris where they won trophies as well as being an original member of the Adirondack Riders Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed camping and going to Florida during the winters for several years.

He is survived by his children; Deborah and her husband Mickey Carpenter, Bonnie Sears, Michael Sr. and his wife Patricia Delisle, Tommy and his wife Missy Delisle, and Scott Delisle, grandchildren Amy (Billy) Gallagher, Michael Jr (Kristin) Delisle, Justin (Kristen) Delisle, Sara (Chris) Arnold, Chase (Cassidy) Delisle, Hannah (Robert) Stroehlein, Mollie (Tyler) Short and Loghan Delisle (Sassine). great-grandchildren; Marissa (Joseph), Michael, Hailley (Kevin), Mckenzie, Ben, Jacob, Madeleine, Edenn, Brynn, Samuel, Eli, Finn, Aurora, Lily, Averie, Emelia, and Nora, his great-great-grandchildren, Natalie, Maverick, and Lorelai, his sisters, Florence Collins, Helen Parent, brother Richard Delisle, sister-in-law Agnes LaPier, Jane Ann Oshier, and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Doris (2014), brother and sister-in-law Maynard (Stella), brothers-in-law Ernest Collins, Gervis "Buzzy" Parent, Morris Oshier, Joseph LaPier, his sisters-in-law; Loretta Delisle, Leona (Clarence) Dubuque, and his son-in-law Eugene Sears.

Calling hours will be Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated November 21, 2022 at 11:00am at St. James Church in Cadyville. Burial will be Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 11:00am with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cadyville Rescue Squad or the North Country Honor Flight which he traveled with Flight #29 on Sept 7, 2019 with his 2 sons.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh.
