Kenneth P O'Leary

Cumberland Rhode Island Kenneth P. O'Leary, 83, of Cumberland, Rhode Island passed away, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at his home with family by his side. He was born on April 9, 1928 in Union City, NJ the son of Arthur and Mae (Mella) O'Leary. Ken graduated from St. John's Academy in 1946. After graduating he joined the United States Marine Corps., where he served his country for two years before being honorably discharged. Ken then went on to attend Siena College in Loudonville, NY where he received a degree in pre-med. He spent over fifty years working in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Ken started out as a salesman and quickly moved up the corporate ranks. When Ken ran out of challenges, he founded his own home healthcare company Cara Incorporated in 1983. He continued working until just recently, along side his children who will carry on his vision. Ken enjoyed working, playing golf and spending the summer at his home in Port Kent. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Jeanne O'Leary, two daughters; Patricia and Kathleen O'Leary, four sons; John (Jane), Gary, Michael (Reta) and Timothy (Stinelli) O'Leary and a grandson Johnny O'Leary. Calling hours will be held on Monday October 17, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh, burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
