Kristine L Jackson

Kristine "Kristy" L. Jackson, 50, of Plattsburgh, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the UVM - CVPH Medical Center, with loved ones by her side. She was born in Portland, ME, on September 22, 1971, the daughter of Ronald Paul Jackson and Barbara Lee Burke Bates.

Kristy will always be remembered for her generous spirit, willingness to help others, and deep love and concern for the happiness of those around her. She cherished her time at the campsite and especially loved sitting around a fire with a glass of wine and her close friends while gazing at the stars with her fiancé, Gordon, and her little dog, Jasper. She enjoyed being outside tending her garden and watching the hummingbirds visit the bird feeders. She loved to cook and entertain and was known around the campgrounds for her delicious Bloody Caesars. While growing up in Maine, one of Kristy’s favorite places to be was by the ocean. She loved spending time in the sun, walking along the shore, and dipping her toes in the water. Kristy had a talent for art and among her favorite things to draw were sunflowers, turtles, and sunrises. She loved to get lost in a good book and looked forward to the latest releases by her favorite author, Stephen King. She always filled the room with music and enjoyed discovering new artists that she could share with others. Kristy loved all animals and was passionate about rescuing them her entire life. She’ll be deeply missed by her cat, Finnegan, and dog, Jasper, but will be greeted by her many beloved pets that have passed on.

She was predeceased by her father Ronald Paul Jackson; her grandparents; Clinton Jackson and (wife) Georgia Brown Jackson, Robert Leo Burke and (wife) Mary Margaret Maguire Burke, her aunts; Anne Marie Burke Dumouchel and Sheila Jean Burke Jacques.

Per Kristy's request, there will be no services. A private family celebration of her life will be planned in the spring. Memorial donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the ASPCA in her name.
