Lana L. Wright

August 27, 1952 — March 5, 2024

Lana (Auntie) Lee Wright, age 71, Friend, Companion and Love of Armando Rodriguez for 30 years plus, Earned Her Wings on March 5 2024 after a Valiant and Courageous Battle with Sepsis. Lana was born in Saranac, New York on August 27, 1952 to James Cecil and Mona Faye (White) Wright. Growing up, the oldest of 5, there was always an adventure to be had! With Mom not being able to be with us, Lana always considered herself 'Responsible' if one of us'Got into Mischief. She'd try to sound 'Stern' but it wasn't in her Nature! We probably took a little advantage of that! Sorry, Sis. During High School, Lana met Mickey Collins, they dated a while and eventually got married. Although, their paths eventually diverged the experience and lessons learned shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Anyone who knew Lana, knows the places she went, the trail of her Life, the jobs she had and the things she liked to do. What we'd like to do is give not a List of 'What' she did but 'Who' she Is...Let's make Her Proud of Living a Life of: Keeping 'God' First and Foremost; Keeping our Hearts Open; Forgiving Easily; Loving Without Conditions; Seeing the Wonder in Everything; Enjoying Adventures; Keeping Childlike Curiosity; Keeping A Servants Heart; Running Barefoot in the Grass; Climbing Mountains; Laugh when You Feel like Crying; Hug Children and Let them Know How Special They Are; Never Stop Holding Hands With The One You Love; Tend To God's Little Creatures; Call People Often; Remain Available And Never Walk Away Without Saying I Love You And I Miss You! Lana, this could go on for Pages and there wouldn't be Enough Words! We will Miss You So Very Much and Always Love Our Matriarch! We would like to Thank God for giving Lana the weeks she had, to be able to Visit with Family and Friends! To be able to Share Memories, Photos, Laughter and Love! Lana didn't spend a Minute Alone thru this time! There are some Very Special People who stepped up to the Plate! You know who you are! Coming from Far away Places and Places close to Home! Please know how Very Grateful we All are! Finally, Armando, we will always be Grateful and Honored that you have shared Lana's Life! Thank You, Brother, We love you! Lana leaves her Siblings: Debi (Jim) LeFevre of LaVerkin, Utah;Kim Wright (Deceased); David Wright of Cadyville, New York; Dana (April) Wright of Plattsburgh, New York; Along with a Beautiful Bunch Of Nieces and Nephews { One of which was with Auntie when She Got Her Wings; Thank you, Gregory } and Great-Nieces and Nephews! A Special Thank You to Dana for the Countless hours Hand Crafting Lana's Urn, April for Loving Care and Tending to Detail and to David for Opening his Home for a Get Together of Family and Friends. Lana, we won't say goodbye we will just say until We Meet Again! A Memorial gathering will be held Saturday, March 9th from 11am-1pm, with a prayer being offered at 12:30 pm at Brown Funeral Home 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901. Burial will be private.
