Lawrence J ""Bird"" Infante Iii

Plattsburgh The family of Lawrence J. "Bird" Infante III, 59, of Plattsburgh, New York mourns his passing at CVPH on Thursday, May 12, 2011. Larry was the third son of the late Lawrence J. Infante, Jr. and Gertrude Mead Infante born on May 11, 1952 in Plattsburgh, New York. Larry graduated from Beekmantown Central School, class of 1970 and Clinton Community College. Larry was a star basket ball player at Beekmantown Central School and played varsity basketball at Clinton Community College. He was a pitcher with American Legion baseball. Larry loved fishing, playing golf and spent hours talking about his love of airplanes and his fondness of stories of Lake Champlain and "Champy." He was artistically inclined enjoying playing folk guitar, photography and drawing, especially "Champy" He spent many of his adult years driving long distance tractor trailer for various local companies. While driving for McAdam Distributing his handle was Lightening. Larry was pre-deceased by his father Lawrence Jr., a sister Patricia, and a brother George. He is survived by his son Nathaniel Infante and his wife Kelly of Canton, NY, his mother Gertrude Infante of Argyle, NY, his brothers, Terry Infante and his fiancé Andrea Drown of Glens Falls and Plattsburgh, NY, Lindsay Infante and his wife Angela of Delta, OH, Eric Infante and his wife Sally of Greenwich, NY, Kyle Infante of Wilton, NY, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survived him. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, New York with a service at 4:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date with his father at St. Peter's Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
