Leander A Perrotte

Leander “Lee” Perrotte, 89, of Joyce Avenue, Morrisonville, NY, passed away on Wednesday March 9, 2022 at his home under the care of Hospice of the North Country with his loving family by his side. He was born in Redford, NY on September 30, 1932 the son of Charles and Justine (LeBrun) Perrotte.
Lee joined the United States Air Force in 1949 and was honorably discharged in 1953. He returned to Morrisonville and married Joyce Conroy on October 9, 1954. Lee and Joyce moved to New York City, where Joyce went to nursing school to later become a Registered Nurse and Lee went to Barber School. They moved back to the North Country in 1958 and Lee opened a barber shop at the NCO Club at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. He then went on to work for Paragon Homes and eventually started Lee Custom Homes in Morrisonville. Lee built close to 600 homes across the North Country, including Hill Top Estates in Morrisonville. He was a great dancer and water skier. Lee and Joyce enjoyed traveling with their family and spending winters in Florida.
He was predeceased by his parents and a son Brad Perrotte in 2006.
Lee is survived by his wife Joyce, their children; Mike Perrotte and his companion Betsy Finnegan, Lori Perrotte Allen and her husband Mark, and John Perrotte and his wife Louann, a daughter-in-law Tammy Perrotte Sears and her husband Dale, seven grandchildren; Erika Converse and her husband Ryan, Darin Perrotte and his wife Michelle, Shane Perrotte and Nicholas Perrotte and his companion Andrea Lombardo and their mother, Starr Davis, Lindsey Whitney and her husband Mike, Brittany Jones and her husband Jayson and Dustin Blockson and his companion Kelly Owen, six great grandchildren; Conner, Ryleigh, Mackenzie, Madison, Rosalie and Mason, a sister Carol Madden, several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Calling hours will be held on Monday March 14, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at St. Alexander’s Cemetery in Morrisonville.
