Leo W. Drollette, 85, of Newell Avenue, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with his family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on January 10, 1934, the son of the late George and Catherine (Rabideau) Drollette. He married Harriet Banker on November 27, 1958; they resided in Plattsburgh the entire 60 years of their marriage.
Leo served in the Army during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge he was employed by Gregory Supply for over 46 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, square dancing, gardening, watching baseball and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, his children and their spouses; Andre Drollette, Mark Drollette (Joan), Matthew Drollette (Danielle), his grandchildren; Katherine, Michael, Logan, Nicholas, Matty Anne, Heather and Eric, 6 great-grandchildren, his brother Herman Drollette (Diane), his niece, Katherine and nephew, Donald.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 3:00-6:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11:00am at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Interment with military honors will follow in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the Palliative Care Unit at CVPH.
