Leon G Jacques

Mr. Leon G. Jacques, 90, formerly of Morrisonville, New York passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh, NY. He was born in Morrisonville, NY on October 24, 1918, the son of George and Lena (Carey) Jacques. Leon married his wife Elizabeth "Betty" (Carter) Jacques on January 23, 1941 . He owned and operated his own Dairy Farm in Morrisonville before becoming a school bus driver for Peru Central School retiring in 1983. Leon was a member of St. Alexander's Church, and the Knights of Columbus Council # 6067. He is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" (Carter) Jacques and a granddaughter Lori Ann Bordeau. Leon is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Jacques of Plattsburgh, NY and Barbara Bordeau and her husband Terry of Morrisonville, NY, a granddaughter Stephanie Trombley and her husband Pete of Morrisonville, NY and two great grandchildren Alexis and Bryce Trombley. At Leon's request their will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in St. Alexander's Cemetery.
